Is AI Helping or Hurting Your Private Health Business?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is more than just a chatbot asking, “How can I help?” when you visit a website. AI has the power to detect early onset illnesses, drive cars, DJ a wedding, write essays, and can be inserted in just about any aspect of life.

So, if AI has the power to change the world, why should (and shouldn’t) it be used for marketing?

If you’ve ever used Siri, Hey Google, Gemini, Copilot, or any other AI-powered sidekick, you’ve gotten an answer to just about any question you’ve asked it. Whether or not that answer is correct depends on a multitude of factors. Without getting into the nitty gritty science, AI is smart. The proof is in the results you get. However, even though you’ll always get some type of response (as long as the power is turned on), the proof falls short when you get a less than adequate response compared to what you were expecting.

For example, we asked Window’s Copilot AI to “create a graphic that includes text that says 'marketing is important' with a green background.”

As you can see, the AI did generate an image with a green background that includes a chart with something that looks to read, “marketing” in the center of the group of people. Was it what we were expecting though?

Upon closer examination, what do we see? Let’s zoom in on the word that should say 'marketing:'

  1. Are those even letters? What the heck does that even say?
  2. Looking at the people’s faces, would you use this image on a poster about the importance of marketing?

Indeed we did get an image created by AI with a green background; but we certainly would not use this on a client’s project.

This is a prime example of the slippery slope that is AI.

At first glance, this might be a closely expected result. But when zoomed in, you can see how off putting it really is. Considering the almost-quality of this image, we have no doubt that AI will improve in the same way that computer generated monsters in horror movies have improved since the 80s.

We’ll leave you with a small bite of food for thought: Some people love what AI can do for them, while others are almost too skeptical to use it. Which side are you on?
